Biryani recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 2 tomatoes
- 1/2 chopped onion (lengthy cut)
- 4 pieces of garlic
- 1 small piece of ginger
- 2 small green chilis
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon of biryani powder or masalas
- handful of mint leaves
- 1/2 lb of chicken or mutton
- 2 spoons of curd (unsweetened yogurt)
1. Make a paste with ginger, garlic, green chilis, red chili powder, biryani masala, and salt.
2. Fry the onion. Add the paste and fry together until they turn brown.
3. Add tomatoes and mint leaves.
4. Add the chicken and curd in the gravy and let them boil until the chicken is tender.
5. Soak the rice in the water for 30 minutes.
6. After the chicken has become tender, put the gravy in the cooker and add the rice.
7. Add 1 and 1/2 cups of water and let the biryani cook.
